Are you comfortable?

Most of us strive to live a comfortable life. We work towards increasing comfort and avoid discomfort at all costs. At every sign of discomfort we run, or we try to remove it as quickly as possible.

Think back to situations that were not that comfortable for you, maybe a new job with a steep learning curve, at the start of a health and fitness journey or a difficult situation where you had to navigate your way through multiple hoops to get to your end goal. What did you do?

Just like you, my first instinct is usually to bolt I must say. However, on second thoughts… I think situations like these are where I’ve experienced the most growth. Discomfort is an opportunity to become better, at your craft or simply a better human being.

It is important to be patient with yourself through your growth journey. You’re still learning. Develop at your pace, but keep moving forward. This is where you lose your sense of security for a moment. This is where you feel discomfort, however temporary. But it is an opportunity to prove to yourself that you’re adaptable, and in control of who you are going to become.

Choose Growth.
