As I set out on my freelance journey, I am excited by the idea that I can work from my home in Malta while having the opportunity to help any business both in Malta and anywhere in the world. It is really amazing that nowadays we are able to easily do this.

Nowadays with the internet we are seeing workers working from anywhere in the world with companies based in other countries or other continents even. I can’t say the thought did not make it through my head while travelling around beautiful Bali earlier this year. I am now in Malta and happy to be here surrounded with my family and friends, the sunshine and the sea. I plan to stay for a while.

There are several reasons why hiring freelance or remote workers can be considered an excellent idea for your business.  One great reason is that you are opening your business to a larger pool of talent and potentially hiring among the best in their field.

There is also the potential that freelance or remote workers are healthier are happier, due to the flexibility around their working hours or location. Being able to positively engage with their family, friends and the community and environment of their choice is definitely also a plus. Last but not least, freelance and remote workers are more profitable for a business. Less office space is needed and less money is spent on utilities and furniture.

Just a few reasons to get you started there. Have you got any more benefits you would like to share from your experiences? Any tips on how to make a virtual team work? Please share by using the comments below.
